Position Summary:

The purpose of this position is to provide clerical and claim setup support to the liability claims department staff.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Daily support tasks including scanning incoming mail (IMAGERIGHT), processing invoices, letter requests, correspondence, certified mail, and medical records through the MCS portal.
  • Responsible for all aspects of First Notice of Loss setup and related workflow process including confirming coverage, new incident / claim setup, ISO claim entry, lawsuit setup, sending broker acknowledgements, sending assignments to investigators, and assigning tasks to examiners.
  • Answer phones and interact with insureds, brokers, claimants, and doctors to answer general questions.
  • Participates in special projects and performs additional duties as required.
Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma required
  • 2 – 4 years of experience in a similar administrative role requiring strong computer skills.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft office, primarily Outlook, Excel, and Word required
  • Exposure to / experience with imaging systems preferred.

  • Strong verbal and written communication Extreme attention to detail and organization skills required.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with the ability to multi-task accordingly.
  • Excellent customer service skills required.
  • Ability to be flexible and willing to cross-train and learn other job functions/tasks as needed.

The salary range for this role is $32,300 - $65,700. The listed annual salary range posted for this position is subject to change and may vary depending on performance, education, experience, skills, geographic location, travel requirements, demonstrated proficiency in the competencies required for the role and business needs. Base pay is just one component of GNY’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards include eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus based on performance.
